Skateboarding season is a 365 day per year season for us. So when Chet Thomas himself sent a new Darkstar wheel to the Hot Spot to test, we figured Kirk was the man. Stay tuned for his review.

It's finally getting nice out and people have been coming out to skate get out there and enjoy it yourself.

Skate Club - Summer Update

We have taken down the Skate Club web site due to lack of use. The content has been migrated here.

Also, there are no more trips planned for May. We will be updating this site with the schedule for June during the next 2-3 weeks. The June locations will be outdoor skateparks that will cause the cost of each trip to be lower, but travel time a bit higher.

Top Shop

Thanks to Kirk Knoll, Bobby Atchison, Alex Tivis, Matt Parker, Dillon Rider, T.M. Dustin Goad, and Alternate 1 Tanner Chergosky for a great representation at Top Shop. They hauled in a 17th place finish and made us proud! Thanks to all the Hot Spot heads in the crowd cheering us on when they called our name and thanks to 3rd Lair, TumYeto, Deluxe, Bones and all the other sponsors for a fun event!

Please make sure all members are informed of the dates of the upcoming skate club. The more skaters we have on the bus, the more cost effective it is for us to continue doing the trips. So far in 2008 the rising cost of gas and lower member turn-out has caused us to come up short each week. We have elected not to pass a price increase on to our skate club members. Up until now the Hot Spot has been covering the shortage on every trip. We are pleased to announce that long-time customer/skateboarder and friend of the shop has offered his company, Husky Electric, as a sponsor and to cover the increased costs for 2 trips in April. This will enable us to keep the trip prices where they are, at $12.00
