Happy holidays to everyone. Sorry about the lack of posts, I had some knee surgery in early November so I've been out of the loop lately. Dillon, Mark, Zac, Bobby, and myself went up to the Coon Rapids Dam the other evening. We all chilled out, skated, and had a nice barbecue. We are thinking about doing this weekly so hit us up if your down to have a good time.

Here's some of the footage we got in San Francisco. As you can see Parker killed it. The 4 days went by pretty quick, but all together it was a worthwhile trip. There was perfect weather and some good spots (though a tour guide would have been nice). I'm sure everyone will agree that we need to head west more often.

While the crew was skating, Rob and I hit up StreetCorner to see DJ and got some more spots to hit for the balance of the trip. We hit a joint called Guadalahara for some Mexican food, then off to find the whipper. We saved Fort Miley for the end of the day. Definately a good spot to see the sunset.

Monday: Breakfast and then to Deluxe. Zig hooked us up with the spots. Off to warm up at the Potrero park, 3rd and Army, then to 3 up 3 down. Alright. The DVS Shopliftin' DVD is done! The HotSpot - TPC promotional cut entitled "Sequence 4" is done and Steve did a wonderful job. The footy will be available for your viewing pleasure very soon in the form of a "Sequence 4" DVD around 2/1/09 for a mere $3.95 only available at the Hot Spot. The other day Tanner, Zac, and I were extremely bored, broke and having and urge to skate just like everyone else. So we decided to venture, and pretty close by we found a big empty parking garage. It's a little rough but we aren't complaining. We brought a rail there and had a good session. We are hopefully going back soon and we'll bring more things to skate, get some pics and do some filming

Hello Fellow Schralpers, Due to the HIGH possibility of rain tomorrow we have postponed the Skate Club trip to Oakdale. That's one of the down sides to going to an outside skatepark.. Rather that chance it and hope it the weather holds we have decided to reschedule for another day.. I skated the new Darkstar Lightning Cores for 2 to 3 weeks to test them out. For being black and 96A (not white and hard) they were extremely smooth. I recieved no flat spots, chips, or dings out of the wheel. They were nice at creek because the ground is so rough and the softer wheel made up for the bumps but still kept it's inner hardness to be able to tail slide and blunt slide on boxes. Great

Skateboarding season is a 365 day per year season for us. So when Chet Thomas himself sent a new Darkstar wheel to the Hot Spot to test, we figured Kirk was the man. Stay tuned for his review.

We have taken down the Skate Club web site due to lack of use. The content has been migrated here.Also, there are no more trips planned for May. We will be updating this site with the schedule for June during the next 2-3 weeks. The June locations will be outdoor skateparks that will cause the cost of each trip to be lower, but travel time a bit higher.

Please make sure all members are informed of the dates of the upcoming skate club. The more skaters we have on the bus, the more cost effective it is for us to continue doing the trips. A lot of people made it out to sand creek this weekend toshred. Half the park was dry and a lot of people got to skate it, but if you looked outside today you'd see we're back to square one.... but here's a video to tide ya over until we can skate it again. Not too much happening this weekend. Snows melting a little quicker, that much closer to summer. The mini at creek was dry Saturday evening I didn't skate it but i know Nate Estrada and Tanner Chergosky cleared it off and skated it with Alex Tivis for a while. Lair Monday Wednesday and Thursday.
